BEST OF BRITISH KILLERS LOOPS
Young Andrew Watermark visits the Lakes this month to tackle one of the UK's seminal mtb epics. A fat-tyred favourite since the 80s when Young Andrew was still soiling his Pampers, it combines classic vistas, crunching climbs and manic descents. We've tackled it both ways over the years but opt for a south-to-north variation here to see how many complaints we get.

BIKE TEST: MEGA BIKES
Team MBR heads to the Alps to test a trio of the finest hardcore trail bikes in the famous Megavalanche event. Only freelance freeloader and pop deejay Kirkman flies the flag with any success as our best placed finisher. Donny has a double blowout, Andy bottles it big time and Special Ben manages to collapse a lung and end up in Grenoble A&E. Luckily the testing was in the bag before the carnage ensued…

BIG MOUNTAINS
We round out this mini series with a jaunt up Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. Not a lot of actual riding on the way up and plenty of heart-stopping moments on the way down, this is really one for the most experienced of riders to even consider — and then only when the conditions are perfect. Certainly big, but not especially clever. Good series though eh?
