Product Description
GB medal haul isn't over yet

If you thought that the Olympic closing ceremony signalled the end of the medal aspirations of British cyclists, you were mistaken. Within days of the team returning from Beijing the coaching staff took a junior and under-23 squad to the European Track Championships in Poland where they topped the medal table with 10 golds, six silvers and seven bronzes.

Now what seems to be an unstoppable force is competing in Varese, Italy as the road riders go for glory in the road World Championships. This year has more genuine medal hopes over six events than ever before.

Nicole Cooke, Emma Pooley and Sharon Laws are all potential world champions, and if they get their tactics right like they did in Beijing they'll be hard to beat in both the road race and time trial.

In Ben Swift and Jonny Bellis our under-23 men have two potential winners with first year senior Peter Kennaugh another good outside bet.

And then there's Dave Millar. A win in the men's time trial on Thursday would complete the Scotsman's redemption. He's an integral part of Garmin–Chipotle, the cleanest team in cycling, and if he wins the title he was stripped of in 2003 it will cement his transformation and go a long way to prove the sport's as well.

You can read more about Team GB's continuing success in this week's Cycling Weekly magazine. Plus, we've got all the latest from the Tour of Spain and the build up to the 2008 World Championships in Italy.

We also round up a selection of budget shorts, present your pick of the best clipless pedal systems, get behind the success of the Team GB coaches in Fitness, take a ride around Staffordshire with Dan Fleeman and much, much more.
